Snowing in October

I woke up at about 3pm, it was really cold. I look outside and I see this. It was beautiful outside, covered in white. Isn't it a bit weird to be having snow in October? Anyways, it was really pretty outside.

What if?

Wouldn't it be a dream, just to leave this place you've been all your life? And find that one person that completes you, and becomes your other half. To be with that person, just the thought of that, so sweet. You'd runaway with them to a land far far away, get on that plane and as you look out that window, you see yourself leaving every stress and every bit of unhappiness behind. The person next to you would be the rest of your life and you can go anywhere, anywhere! That busy city, hectic life will soon be behind you and you look forward to somewhere so peaceful and the only thing you hear is your other half's breath and heartbeat. It just makes you feel so alive and just think of how many places you can go to, with absolutely no worries! No school to worry about, no work to worry about, no responsibility to worry about. You can run free and wild and not care what anyone thinks because by the next morning, you'd be on your way to a whole new country. Just think .. what if, there was absolutely nothing to worry about and you'd have everything you wanted, just what if ...

Pasta Salad Recipe

This is a very healthy and nutritious snack/lunch to eat and it's super easy to make ! I got this recipe from my teacher in a nutrition class.

Ingredients:
-Pasta (whole wheat is healthier !)
Avoid stringy type pastas, I used
rotini.
-Vegetables
(I used broccoli and carrots)
-Salad dressing
(choose liquid, non-creamy ones)
-A container with a lid.

1. Cook pasta. I used Ronzoni and I cooked them for 10 minutes. (not too soft, just fully cooked)

2. Use a strainer and get rid of the excess water then put in a container to cool.

3. Cut broccoli and carrots into pieces and blanch them. [ Blanch: boil water, then put vegetables in boiling water for 20 seconds. ]

4. Strain all excess water and put vegetables in your container. Pour in your salad dressing.

5. Close the lid and shake container to mix everything up. Store in fridge and eat when it's cool and salad dressing has sunk in. Enjoy (:

Looking back: Thanksgiving 2010

This was probably the most birds I've ever seen in one place. It was Thanksgiving in 2010 and I went to Caesar's Bay. I saw this Jewish man with a bag of bread and he started feeding the seagulls nearby. It was really fast how all the seagulls all just came for the food. I captured this moment on my ipod, this day was pretty memorable.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

I have to say F.R.I.E.N.D.S is my all-time favorite tv show. I'm re-watching it for the 4th time I believe. I love every one of the characters. Whoever created them is so awesomeee ! This show ran on for 10 years with 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004. I remember when I was little about 2004 or 2005, I watched tv everyday and I love seeing this show on. I even recorded some episodes so I can re-watch when nothings on. Haha, I miss when life was more simple.

-2 canned ravioli
-crackers
-canned oranges

New camera

So I finally bought the Fujifilm s3300 ! It looked bigger than I expected .. lol. So I went to the store and they said they ran out, I was about to order and all that or go to another store. That got me so stressed, then the guy found one last one, I was so happy. I gotta learn all the features of this camera, and take it out sometime. My house has such bad lighting .. & hurricane tomorrow. Gonna have no water, no electricity, and sadly no internet.

Some pics I took with the camera:

I can't wait to get this camera, it is such a good price ($199.99 sale) for a high quality camera. It's super cheap for a DSLR. I never thought I can own one of these, I still can't believe it. Photography and filmography will become more of a hobby of mine. I'll be updating my deviantart, flickr, facebook albums, youtube, and blog like crazy. I set a goal for myself that once school starts I will go home after school everyday and finish my homework. I've been slacking off for 2 years and I'm finally thinking this through that school is more important and it should be more important than just having fun and not thinking of the future. Ever since going to California for vacation, I realized family was really important and they really make me happy. I used to blow off plans with family to hang out with my friends or boyfriend and I really shouldn't have cause they don't last forever. I hope now it isn't too late for me to realize that. Oh look, this turned into a personal life blog post. More updates tomorrow ... or later today since it's 2AM now.

Teriyaki Chicken

Teriyaki chicken

Ingredients: ( what I used, sizes may vary )
.66lb thin cut chicken
1 cup teriyaki marinate sauce
1/4 cup honey
2 Ziplock bags
Oil or PAM spray
Lemon juice ( bottle or fresh ) OPTIONAL

Note: I censored my teriyaki sauce because I don't recommend it and I didn't like the taste. Make sure you like the taste of your sauce before marinating.

Marinate--

Cut all chicken into desirable pieces. ( I cut mine into small pieces ) Or you can leave them as big pieces if you want them as chicken fillet. Put all chicken in ziplock bag. ( sandwich bags work fine if you cut in small pieces ). Pour 1 cup of teriyaki marinate sauce in ziplock bag or fill until all of the chicken is soaked. Pour 1/4 cup of honey in ziplock bag. ( I put in honey because I like it with a sweet taste). Place bag in fridge and marinate overnight. ( I double bagged it to make sure it didn't leak ).

Cooking--

Pour oil/spray PAM onto your pan. Take the marinated chicken out of the bag and place them on the pan.

Turn the stove on and let it cook til it sizzles, then flip them.

Flip them occasionally to cook each side evenly. Cook until brown, not burnt.

Enjoy (:

Artichoke tea

Ingredients:
2 small artichokes, or 1 big one
Pot of water

Artichoke is the vegetable with the highest antioxidants. A chemical called Cynarin in the vegetable increases bile flow. Majority of Cynarin is found in the leaves of the artichoke. Artichoke can also lower cholesterol, and can clear pimples.

To prepare artichoke tea, wash the artichokes thoroughly, opening all the leaves and running them through water. Cut the artichokes in half and boil in a pot of water for 20-30 minutes. The water will turn to a color from yellow to green. For cold weather, many people prefer to drink it hot. For hot weather, let artichoke tea cool then store it in the fridge. Artichoke tea will go bad in about a week. When the tea starts running out of color it means it's time to throw it out and make a new batch.

Drinking artichoke tea can clear pimples, you can also use the tea as a mask, or cut the leaves and place them under your eyes to hydrate and reduce eye puffiness.
